Paws Annual Benefit a Big Hit
The Therapy Dogs of the Sierra sponsored the 4th annual Paws Dog Walk held at Memorial Park, in Tuolumne, CA on September 30th. It was the best ever.
Therapy Dogs of the Sierra, Chapter #186 plans to donate around $8,500 to the Humane Society of Tuolumne County to be used for their on-going needs and $900 will be awarded to the Rose Wolf Wildlife Rehabilitation Center for the rehabilitation of injured wildlife in the Tuolumne County area.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our sponsors who made this event a success. There were 16 vendors in attendance, including food vendors. Participants enjoyed the doggie games including bobbing for hot dogs, digging for pig ears, paw-prints, and an awesome obstacle course that was a big hit.
Spectators enjoyed watching the therapy dogs perform a dance with their dogs to Movin On Over. Attendees were treated to a clever cart demonstration, with a Burmese Mountain Dog pulling his cart. The event also included a live DJ, raffle and auction, dog costume contest, dog/owner look-alike contest, food, and, of course, the walk.
A grand time was had by all.
